In Zakarpattia, smugglers were detained who tried to smuggle two draft dodgers across the border under the guise of members of a funeral cortege accompanying the body of a fallen soldier.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service, Censor.NET reports.

"For $18,000, they planned to bring men of military age to the border. To deceive them, they even hung a flag on the car.

After being exposed, one of them tried to run over the patrol, and ordered the 'clients' to jump out of the car," the statement said.

This did not prevent the border guards from detaining all the offenders.
