This is the third time that Vitalii Klytschko has celebrated the New Year at the frontline. This time, he visited eight brigades and brought drones to the soldiers from the Kyiv community. The mayor of Kyiv posted this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Our defenders send their best wishes for a Happy New Year! Traditionally, for the third year in a row, I met with the soldiers at the front. This time I visited 8 units in the Kharkiv direction and in Donbas. I delivered more than a thousand drones of various types requested by the soldiers. I talked to them and supported the defenders," said Klytschko.
In particular, the mayor handed over 300 FPV drones to the 42nd and 28th SMBs and 50 Mavic 3Ts to the 63rd and 100th SMBs from the Kyiv community. In addition, Klytschko brought 24 Matrice UAVs and batteries to the Achilles Battalion of the 92nd SAB, 90 Mavic 3T night drones to the 3rd SAB, 240 night and day Mavics and 2 Pegasus bombers to the 5th Kyiv SAB, and 10 Mavics and 2 electronic warfare systems to the Raven Tactical Group of the National Guard.
"We support our defenders who are fighting heroically in extremely difficult conditions. Tired, without sleep, in the mud, under constant enemy fire. On New Year's Eve, they remembered their families and homes. They made wishes for a speedy victory and return home," said Klytschko.
Earlier, Vitalii Klytschko reported that in 2024, Kyiv allocated almost UAH 10 billion from the city budget to help the Defense Forces. This is the largest amount among all regions. These funds were used to purchase 14,000 drones of various types, more than 100 vehicles and equipment for the defenders.
