Russians complain about drone attacks, number of airports are closed

On the evening of the 1st of January, Ukrainian drones attack Russia, and flights are temporarily suspended at the airports of Kaluga, Penza, Saransk and Saratov.

This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence and the propaganda outlet RIA Novosti, Censor.NET reports.

Thus, the Russian Ministry of Defence stated that between 17.30 and 20.00, Russian air defence destroyed 19 Ukrainian drones: ten UAVs over the territory of Belgorod region, three over the territory of Kursk region, two over the territory of Voronezh region, two over the territory of Bryansk region and two over the territory of Rostov region.

Later, they reported that between 20.00 and 22.00, air defence systems destroyed 14 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: two UAVs over the territory of Belgorod region, four over the territory of Voronezh region, five over the territory of Rostov region, two over the territory of Tula region and one over the territory of Orel region.

RIA Novosti reports that temporary restrictions were introduced in the evening at the airports of Kaluga, Penza, Saransk and Saratov for security reasons. The air harbours are temporarily not accepting or sending flights.
