In Chernihiv, a 41-year-old man shouted out words in support of Russia's aggression during a moment of silence in memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and then fled on a scooter. Law enforcement officers detained him.

This was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in Chernihiv region, Censor.NET reports.

It is known that the incident occurred on January near the memorial stele to the fallen Heroes in Chernihiv. At 9 a.m., a moment of silence is traditionally held in Ukraine to commemorate the fallen defenders.

The police noted that representatives of local authorities, the military and police were present at the stele.

At that time, a man was riding a scooter and shouted words in support of the aggressor country and obscene statements at the audience.

Law enforcement officers quickly identified the offender and detained him on a city street. The offender was a 41-year-old resident of Chernihiv.

The police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - justification, recognition of the lawfulness, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants. Under this article, the detainee faces up to 3 years in prison.
