Border guards detained a man in the Odesa region who was trying to cross the Transnistrian segment of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service, Censor.NET reports.
The detainee is a 26-year-old man. He decided to overcome the icy water obstacle with an inflatable kayak and a paddle.
"The rower's plans were thwarted at the start of the race by border guards patrolling the Kuchurhan Estuary. A report of administrative offence was drawn up against the offender, and the case was sent to court," the statement said.
