Woman who corrected Russian strikes on Kherson detained - SSU. PHOTOS
A Russian FSB agent who was adjusting the shelling of the right bank of Kherson region was detained.
This was reported by the press service of the SSU, Censor.NET reports.
"The main targets of the enemy were the positions of Ukrainian troops defending the region. The investigation revealed that a 44-year-old local unemployed woman was recruited by the Russian special service to determine the coordinates of the fire strike. The woman came to the attention of the occupiers when she posted pro-Kremlin comments on Telegram channels.
To carry out the enemy's task, the defendant walked the streets of the regional centre and its surroundings, secretly took pictures of the Defence Forces' base points and put their locations on Google maps. In addition, she also monitored the consequences of enemy shelling and prepared relevant reports for her supervisors," the statement said.
The offender was detained red-handed while conducting reconnaissance near a military facility.
A mobile phone with evidence of working for the enemy was seized from the woman at the scene.
The SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The offender is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
