Search and rescue operations in Sumy have been completed: 9 people killed, 15 injured. PHOTO

On 31 January, search and rescue operations were completed in Sumy.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.

"As a result of the enemy's attack on the multi-storey building, 9 people were killed. According to updated data, 15 people, including an 8-year-old girl, were wounded," the statement said.

It is noted that five people are in hospitals (four of them, including a child, are in serious condition).

Emergency response operations are underway at the scene, with 100 people and 10 units of equipment.

"We have already restored power to two entrances in the building that was most damaged. A total of 146 windows have been closed. We have received 127 applications for inspection of the damaged premises," the Sumy City Council said.

As a reminder, on the night of 30 January, a Russian drone hit a residential building in Sumy. As a result of the enemy's attack on the high-rise building, three couples were killed: a 74-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife, a 65-year-old man and his 64-year-old wife, and a 61-year-old man and his 61-year-old wife. An 8-year-old child was among the victims.
