70% of Americans do not believe that Ukraine is to blame for war with Russia - Reuters poll. INFOGRAPHICS

The vast majority of US citizens generally believe that Russia is more to blame for the war than Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the data of the Reuters/IPSOS poll, Censor.NET reports.

Although Donald Trump accused Ukraine of starting a war with Russia, Americans consider Russia to be the aggressor in this conflict.

Thus, 70% of Americans said they no longer consider Ukraine to be to blame for the war, while only 7% of respondents share this opinion.

23% do not know or have not answered the question whether Ukraine is more to blame for the outbreak of war with Russia.

At the same time, 81 percent of Democratic respondents said that Russia was more to blame for the war than Ukraine, and 62 percent of Republican respondents said the same. 11% of Republican respondents believe that Ukraine is more to blame for the war with Russia.

As a reminder, 46% of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine will be able to fight even without American support, while 36% share the opposite opinion.
