On the night of 9 May, Russian UAVs attacked the Izium and Chuhuiv districts of the Kharkiv region.
This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv RMA Oleh Synehubov and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, Censor.NET reports.
A blow to Balakliya
Thus, at 11:57 p.m. in Balakliya, two drones hit an educational institution. One Shahed UAV hit the roof of the lyceum's two-storey building, causing a fire. The second UAV hit another part of the lyceum, damaging window glazing, the roof, and the ceiling between the roof and the third floor of the lyceum.
As a result of the shelling, the glazing of windows in 6 apartment buildings, the Balakliya district primary healthcare center was damaged, the glazing of windows in the building of the Employment Centre, the Centre for Children and Youth Creativity, two cafes was damaged and two cars were damaged.
Shelling of the Chuhuiv district
At around 11:24 p.m. in the Chuhuiv district, the village of Kochetok came under attack. Two Shahed UAVs hit a non-residential building.
According to the State Emergency Service, the strike damaged the building of the children's institution, and structural elements were on fire. The fires have been extinguished, there were no casualties.
Shelling in the Kharkiv region over the past day
09:40 p.m. Kupiansk district, Kupiansk. The shelling damaged a private house and a car.
4:34 p.m. Bohodukhivskyi district, Zolochiv district, between the settlements of Turove and Svitlychne. A 36-year-old man was injured and hospitalised as a result of an FPV drone hitting a car.
3:00 p.m. Kupiansk district, the village of Kivsharivka. A 41-year-old man died on the street as a result of artillery shelling.
3:00 p.m. Kupiansk district, Kupyansk territorial community, Kupyansk town. A 46-year-old man was injured as a result of shelling by an FPV drone, a private house was damaged.
01:25 p.m. Kharkiv district, Tsyrkuny village. A Molniya UAV crashed in an open area, causing grass to burn.
12:30 p.m. Kupiansk district, Stetskivka village. Grass burning as a result of hostile shelling.
11:40 a.m. Kharkiv district, Tsyrkuny village. A "Molniya" UAV hit a forest area, causing the forest floor to burn.
Around 09:00 a.m.. Izium district, Sheikivka village, outside the settlement. A hit to the open area, the type of weapon is under investigation.
08:22 a.m. Kharkiv district, village of Ruski Tyshky. A house burned down as a result of a drone strike. There was no information about casualties.
