A satellite from the American aerospace company Maxar recorded the aftermath of the attack by the Defence Forces on the warehouses of the Engels-2 airfield of the Russian Strategic Aviation in Saratov region on the night of 20 March.
According to Censor.NET, the images of Maxar from 21 March were published by analyst George Barros.
The images show the aftermath of yesterday's Ukrainian strike on storage facilities at the Russian airbase in Engels.
The warehouses for the storage of aviation ammunition in the north-eastern part of the airbase were damaged. Destroyed buildings and storage bunkers with craters caused by explosions are visible.
The airfield is known for the fact that Russian strategic aviation aircraft have repeatedly taken off from it, launching large-scale missile strikes against Ukraine.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of 20 March, the Ukrainian Defence Forces attacked Engels-2 airfield, which caused a fire and explosions of ammunition stored there.
Censor.NET's sources reported that Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3 and Tu-160 bombers are deployed at the airfield, as well as warehouses with FABs, GABs and cruise missiles.
