Russian war criminal identified for shooting car with two civilians in Katiuzhanka - National Police. PHOTOS
Evidence has been collected of the Russian occupier's involvement in the shooting of a car with local residents who were trying to escape in Katiuzhanka, Kyiv region, in February 2022. Two people died from the injuries. The Russian faces life imprisonment.

As noted, eyewitness accounts of the killings of civilians by the Russian occupiers during the temporary occupation of the Kyiv region were collected.
It has been established that Russian servicemen set up a combat position in the village of Katiuzhanka and shot at civilian vehicles in which local residents were trying to evacuate from an armoured personnel carrier.
In particular, on 25 February 2022, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces, on Kyivska Street in Katyuzhanka village, shot a Volkswagen Transporter with a man and his wife, born in 1969 and 1961, in the car.
During the inspection of the scene, shell casings, bullet remnants, and ammunition were seized. During the inspection of the vehicle, characteristic deformations were recorded as a result of a shell hit from a weapon mounted on a Russian APC.
Law enforcers have established that one of the war criminals is a 27-year-old serviceman of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade (military unit 30926).
It is noted that he was served a notice of suspicion in absentia of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes). The Russian faces life imprisonment. Measures to identify other Russian war criminals who killed civilians are ongoing.
