Russians sentence ZNPP worker Potynha to 19 years for "terrorism". PHOTOS
Today, on March 26, a so-called "Russian court" sentenced a resident of Enerhodar, an employee of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, Serhii Potynha, to 19 years in prison.
This was announced by the mayor of Enerhodar Dmytro Orlov, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, the Ukrainian was found guilty on completely fabricated charges and sentenced to 19 years in a strict regime colony.
"Serhiy Poting is a civilian engineer at Zaporizhzhia NPP, who was captured by the occupiers on June 23, 2023 and illegally detained for almost 2 years. He is facing trumped-up terrorism charges. It is obvious that this is revenge for his loyalty to Ukraine. The man's life and health are under threat!" Orlov said.
He emphasized that this is yet another proof that Russia does not stop at repressions against peaceful Ukrainians.
"We have no right to remain silent! We call on the international community, diplomats, and human rights activists to make every effort to free Sergiy and all civilian prisoners!" the mayor added.
