Trump says he is ready to reducing tariffs for "phenomenal" offers from other countries - Bloomberg

US President Donald Trump has said he may reduce customs tariffs if other countries make "phenomenal" offers.
Trump said this on 3 April on board his plane, Censor.NET reports citing Bloomberg.
"If somebody said that we’re going to give you something that’s so phenomenal, as long as they’re giving us something that’s good," Trump said.
He stressed that tariff policy gives the US an advantage in negotiations, despite the negative impact on stock markets.
"The tariffs give us great power to negotiate," Trump said.
He added that the administration was constantly receiving requests from other countries that wanted to negotiate, and said that the decision to reduce tariffs would be made depending on the conditions offered by the partners.
Trump imposes tariffs
As a reminder, Trump has signed an executive order imposing a minimum 10 per cent tariff on almost all goods entering the US. For some countries, the tariffs are higher. In particular, China - 34%, the European Union - 20%.
Later, it became known that Trump had declared a state of emergency in the country's economy.
