The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has codified and approved for use in the army the D-21-12R ground combat robotic system equipped with a large-calibre machine gun.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Ministry of Defence.

The complex is equipped with a large-calibre machine gun and can perform a wide range of combat missions: from observation and patrolling to fire support for units, destruction of enemy manpower and lightly armoured vehicles.

The Ministry of Defence emphasised that the D-21-12R has high cross-country ability over difficult terrain, including off-road, marshes and shallow water obstacles. It is controlled remotely - the operator controls the robot from a safe hiding place at a considerable distance.
