Entered conscripts into "Shliakh" system for $3,000: illegal border crossing scheme exposed in Lviv region – SBGS. PHOTOS
Border guards uncovered a scheme to smuggle men of military age abroad on the basis of forged documents.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, Censor.NET reports.
According to the State Border Guard Service, a 41-year-old head of a private road transport company registered conscripts into the Shliakh system as drivers allegedly carrying out international transport in return for a monetary reward. This allowed them to legally leave Ukraine during martial law. The service cost USD 3,000 per person.
Law enforcement officers documented at least two cases of transfer of funds for such a service. The organiser was detained in Novoiavorivsk, where he worked. A Ford Transit minibus was also seized, which was prepared for the next "trip".
The suspect was served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transfer of persons across the state border). The issue of choosing a type of detention is currently being decided.
