To expose three different channels for men of mobilisation age to escape abroad, set up by six local residents of the Sarny district, Rivne region.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, Censor.NET reports.

Thus, it was established that the offenders, for the purpose of personal enrichment, searched for potential clients among men who wanted to illegally cross the border to avoid mobilisation and further assisted them in illegal actions. They thoroughly instructed the draft evaders on the routes and lines of behaviour during the meeting with border guards and the actual crossing of the state border and its engineering barriers outside checkpoints. The price ranged from $5,000 to $7,000 per client.

It is noted that in total, the dealers tried to smuggle nine men in January-February this year, but the criminal actions were exposed and stopped.

The SBGS reported that indictments against six criminals, charging them with illegal trafficking of persons across the state border of Ukraine, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons for mercenary motives, or attempted such an act, have been sent to court. The Criminal Code provides for punishment for such acts in the form of imprisonment for a term of 7 to 9 years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years and confiscation of property.
