President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy received the letters of credence from four newly appointed ambassadors:

  • United Kingdom – Neil Crompton

  • New Zealand – Paul Ballantyne

  • Chile – Eliseo Rodrigo Ruiz Ortiz

  • Somalia – Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed

Ukraine and the United Kingdom continue defence cooperation

In a conversation with British Ambassador Neil Crompton, the President thanked London for its consistent support of Ukraine.

The parties discussed:

  • military and energy assistance,

  • tightening sanctions against Russia,

  • Ukraine's need for air defence systems, missiles for them and interceptors.

Zelensky emphasised that joint projects between the countries will continue.

The Head of State thanked New Zealand Ambassador Paul Ballantyne for his solidarity with Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.

During a meeting with Chilean Ambassador Eliseo Rodrigo Ruiz Ortiz, the parties discussed prospects for increasing bilateral trade.

Somalia confirms support for Ukraine at the UN

During a meeting with Somali Ambassador Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed, Zelenskyy thanked the country for its clear position on Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

  • active cooperation with Somalia as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council,

  • development of bilateral relations in the field of agriculture.
