Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) continue to systematically combat corruption in government and law enforcement agencies.

The SBI reports that efforts to expose corruption and official crimes are intensifying, ensuring that punishment is inevitable for officials, law enforcement officers and others who abuse their power or violate the law, according to Censor.NET.

The SBI has referred 6,500 corruption cases to court

Between January and October 2025, SBI employees completed pre-trial investigations and sent more than 6,500 indictments against 6,900 individuals to court.

Among them:

  • 2 officials of category "A";
  • 5 members of parliament;
  • 4 former members of the Cabinet of Ministers;
  • 21 judges;
  • 1,197 law enforcement officers;
  • 44 tax authority employees;
  • 74 customs officers;
  • 123 employees of the State Criminal Enforcement Service;
  • 119 state forest protection employees;
  • 57 employees of civil protection agencies and departments;
  • other officials and employees who are subject to the jurisdiction of the State Bureau of Investigation.

In addition, the Bureau's employees notified 16,838 individuals of their status as suspects and detained 1,957 suspects.

Since the beginning of the year, the SBI has sent more than 6,500 indictments to court.
