A rescue operation is currently underway in Dnipro. Last night, Russia launched an attack on the city, hitting a residential building.
This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram, according to Censor.NET.
Casualties and victims
As of now, it is known that 11 people have been injured, including children. Unfortunately, one person has died (according to the RMA, there are already two fatalities - Ed.). Dozens of people have been rescued. Unfortunately, one person was killed in the Kharkiv region, and there are casualties in the Kyiv and Poltava regions. Attacks were also carried out in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. In the evening, the Odesa region was attacked.
What did the occupiers use to attack Ukraine?
According to Zelenskyy, Russia launched more than 450 strike drones and 45 missiles of various types at Ukraine. And the terrorists' targets remain the same: ordinary life, residential buildings, our energy sector, infrastructure.
It is necessary to increase pressure on the aggressor
"The issue is resources for killing, money — sanctions are needed to deprive Russia of the ability to continue the war it started and is dragging out. We appreciate all the steps our partners have already taken, but Russian strikes show that the pressure must be stronger. There must be a European decision on frozen Russian assets, additional sanctions, support, and strengthening of Ukraine's defence. And for every strike by Moscow on the energy sector, with which they want to harm ordinary people before winter, there must be a sanctions response across the entire Russian energy sector, without exception. Russia's nuclear energy sector is still not under sanctions, and the Russian military-industrial complex still receives Western microelectronics. More pressure must be exerted on the oil and gas trade. We are counting on appropriate decisions from America, Europe, and the G7 countries. Thank you to everyone who is ready to help and act to protect lives," the head of state said.
