Officers of the Darnytskyi district police department detained a Kyiv resident who set two vehicles on fire in the district.

According to reports, the 41-year-old perpetrator explained his actions by saying that he set the fires for fun after drinking alcoholic beverages.
According to preliminary information, one night the man set a Renault Megane passenger car on fire on the premises of a service station, and a few days later destroyed a MAN truck in the same manner as it was parked on the roadside.
Arrest and suspicion
The police detained the offender in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
He has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional destruction or damage to property. The article provides for up to ten years' imprisonment.
