In this messenger, the suspect was recruited by an enemy curator who offered him cooperation in exchange for money.
SSU officers detained the perpetrator at his place of residence.
As the investigation established, the suspect travelled around the regional centre and its surroundings, where he used a mobile application to record the coordinates of the locations where Defence Forces personnel were concentrated.
The perpetrator also attempted to identify military units and other restricted-access facilities that could become potential "targets" for the enemy.
He stored the collected data on his smartphone in the form of photos of buildings and their coordinates.
Investigators from the Security Service informed the enemy's accomplice that he was suspected of unauthorised dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law.
The perpetrator is in custody without the right to bail. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
