Europe’s largest fertiliser producer has come under drone attack in Russian Federation. VIDEO

On the night of 27 March, drones attacked the Vologda region of the Russian Federation. Local sources reported a possible attack on the Apatit chemical plant (part of the PhosAgro Group’s Cherepovets chemical cluster).

This was reported by Censor.NET, citing Russian Telegram channels.

Footage from Cherepovets circulating online captures the sounds of explosions and shows bright flashes in the sky. The video also shows moments of strikes on targets in the city.

The Russian authorities have already confirmed the attack on the region. The governor of the Vologda region, Georgy Filimonov, reported that drones are striking the industrial zone of Cherepovets, but did not provide further details.

"UAVs are attacking the Cherepovets industrial zone in the Vologda region," Filimonov’s statement reads.

Filimonov later stated that eight strikes on the industrial site had been recorded.
