Lviv has chosen city’s best street cleaner: She decided to donate her 25,000-hryvnia prize to AFU. PHOTOS

Hanna Petrychkovych has won the "Lviv's Best Street Cleaner – 2026" competition. She will donate her prize of 25,000 UAH to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

A record number of Lviv residents – 519 votes – voted for the woman, who works in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.

"Every day, the woman ensures the cleanliness around buildings 372, 366b, 374 and 406 on Shevchenko Street in the Riasne-1 neighbourhood. She has been working as a street cleaner for 37 years and is a veteran of the housing and utilities sector.

Ms Hanna played an active role in clearing up the aftermath of the rocket attack and regularly takes part in community clean-up days, helping to keep the neighbourhood clean and tidy," the city council noted.

Mayor Andrii Sadovyi stated that Ms Hanna donated the 25,000 hryvnias she won to the Armed Forces of Ukraine — specifically to the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade.
