Staff of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed a pre-trial investigation into a serviceman who caused a fatal traffic accident in the capital.
The indictment has been sent to court, Censor.NET reports.

The investigation established that on 27 December 2025 in Kyiv, a car carrying a woman, her two young daughters, and a relative stopped at a red light at one of the intersections.
At that moment, another car driven by the serviceman slammed into it at high speed after he had grossly violated traffic rules.
As a result of the collision, the young mother, who was in the passenger seat, was killed at the scene. Her 10-year-old daughter sustained moderate injuries.
As part of the investigation, SBI officers conducted the necessary examinations and established all the circumstances of the accident. The driver was sober at the time, according to the examination results.
The serviceman is charged with violating driving rules resulting in a person’s death. The article carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.
