Over the course of 24 hours, from the morning of 1 April to the morning of 2 April 2026, Russian forces carried out more than 80 attacks on 32 settlements across 17 local communities in the region.
Civilians among the casualties
In the Bocheshkivska community, a 50-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were injured as a result of a drone strike.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
Enemy strikes on communities
The enemy used mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs across the Sumy region.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- in the Shostka community, non-residential premises, residential buildings, a car and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
- In the Hlukhiv community, multi-apartment residential buildings, residential houses, a farm building and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
- In the Seredyna-Buda community, private residential buildings and farm buildings were destroyed, and private residential buildings and a civil infrastructure facility were damaged;
- in the Shalyhyn community, private residential houses were destroyed and residential houses were damaged;
- in the Esman community, private residential buildings were destroyed and a civil infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in the Zno-Novgorod community, a private residential building was destroyed and a civil infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in the Bocheshkiv community, a lorry was destroyed and a warehouse was damaged;
- in the Putivl community, a civil infrastructure facility and a farm building were damaged;
- in the Vorozhba community, an apartment block and a private car were damaged;
- in the Sumy community, private homes and cars were damaged.
