Ukrainian military have regained full control of Shyrokyne.
M sector press officer Oleksandr Kindsfater said on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports."Yes, a few days ago, militants completely withdrew from their part [of the village - ed.]. Our units took the village under control," he confirmed.
According to him, demining activities and elimination of explosive objects are currently underway.
"Before leaving, militants mined almost every house, left dozens of tripwires, mines, and booby traps. Apparently, their aim was to cause maximum damage to Ukrainian army soldiers and civilians who will want to return to their homes," he said.
Kindsfater suggested that by this militants designed a large-scale terrorist attack. "Our engineers examine the territory and buildings to identify mined objects and unexploded ordnance," the press officer noted.
