Rain floods Izmail, water level reaching two meters. PHOTOS
Heavy rainfall in Izmail, the Odesa region, flooded several districts of the city on June 14.
As informed by Censor.NET, this was announced by Dumskaia.The rain started in Izmail after 2 p.m. June 14. Some districts of the city became unreachable, with cars flooded by water flows.

Residents who were outside when the rainfall started were taking off their shoes to save them from ruining. The water was reaching up to a knee level in some areas of the city.


As informed by deputy mayor Rodion Abashev, utility companies were pumping water from basements of the city's central hospital and several residential houses.

According to city mayor Andrii Abramchenko, the highest critical level of water reached two meters. Most of the floods gathered at the city's lowest district, neighboring a Danube bank.

By 7 p.m. yesterday, city mayor informed, the waters flew into Danube. The volume of precipitation was a record one for Izmail.
