Servicemen of 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade underwent HMMWV driver’s courses held at a U.S. military base in Germany. The U.S. instructors provided theoretical and practical training.
Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Defense Ministry.The courses were held at a U.S. military base. American instructors conducted theoretical and practical lessons. In particular, actions of a crew in a situation of a rollover and overcoming of various natural water hazards have been drilled.
"I trained certain skills and possessed professional knowledge. Now I understand my main assistant - the vehicle - better. All this will allow me feeling confident behind the wheel on combat missions. The teaching was easy, fun, and accessible. I especially noted the attention they pay to the safety of driving. It was interesting to work out actions of the crew during a rollover on special simulation simulators," senior driver Yevhen Fediuk said.
At the end of the courses, the servicemen received certificates.
