War in Ukraine has changed rules of modern conflict; old world order no longer applies, – Zaluzhnyi
Valerii Zaluzhnyi, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ambassador to the United Kingdom, took part in one of Northern Europe’s leading security conferences – the Lennart Meri Conference, which is held annually in Tallinn.
He announced this on Facebook, reports Censor.NET.
As noted, important questions were raised by representatives from various countries. But they all revolved around one thing – what security policy should look like as the world plunges into an era of instability and new conflicts.
Zaluzhnyi on the world order
"I have said many times that the old world order no longer applies. The massive changes that have taken place on the front line in Ukraine have completely transformed the paradigm of how wars are fought. Modern warfare is different now, and so it is simply impossible to predict its outcome. New global solutions are needed, otherwise existing conflicts may spread.
I would like to thank the conference organisers for raising such important issues, on which not only the fate of individual countries but the future of all humanity depends," he noted.
