Four relocated hospitals from Luhansk region were damaged during massive attack on Dnipro. PHOTO
On the night of 18 May, Russian forces attacked Dnipro and the surrounding region with missiles and attack drones for over six hours.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Oleksii Kharchenko.
What was damaged
During the attack, four medical facilities were damaged; these had been relocated from the Luhansk region to Dnipro following the outbreak of full-scale war.
These are:
- the regional clinical hospital;
- mental health centre;
- primary healthcare centre in Rubizhne;
- a multi-specialist hospital in Lysychansk.
What is known about the consequences
Windows were smashed in the medical facilities and other damage of varying degrees was recorded.
Following their evacuation in 2022, all these facilities resumed operations in Dnipro and continued to provide care to patients.
Work is currently underway to clear up the aftermath of the shelling.
According to the authorities, 22 people, including children, were injured as a result of the massive attack on Dnipro and the region.
