Consequences of Russian Federation’s strike on Zaporizhzhia: 9 injured, including two children; high-rise building partially destroyed. PHOTOS

Nine people, including two children, were injured as a result of Russian air strikes on Zaporizhzhia overnight.

According to the Regional Military Administration, the enemy attack caused extensive damage to the city’s civilian infrastructure. In particular, a residential high-rise block was partially destroyed. Emergency services rescued two people from the rubble.

Another airstrike hit the grounds of an educational institution. Neighbouring high-rise buildings, private property, and cars were also damaged.

All the city’s emergency services were working at the scene.

Information from the Regional Military Administration

According to the Regional Military Administration, a total of 23 blocks of flats, 17 private homes, and non-residential buildings were damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi, Oleksandrivskyi, Kosmichnyi, and Khortytskyi districts of Zaporizhzhia. The blast wave damaged windows, balconies, and roofs.

As of this morning, specialists had already boarded up the shattered windows with OSB sheets in 9 blocks of flats, 10 private homes, and non-residential premises in the Shevchenkivskyi and Oleksandrivskyi districts. Emergency repairs have also begun in the Kosmichnyi and Khortytskyi districts.
