Russia attacked Konotop in the evening and launched a massive strike on Sumy during the night. Four locations in the regional capital were hit, and at least two people were injured.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Ihor Kalchenko, chief of staff of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
Konotop was attacked in the evening by high-speed jet-powered UAVs. Three precision strikes on a residential area were recorded. Buildings were damaged.
"Miraculously, there were no fatalities or injuries. One woman suffered an acute stress reaction," said Kalchenko.
According to the mayor, Artem Semenikhin, two residential buildings were destroyed as a result of the attack.
A further fifteen or so private homes were damaged.
Several hundred households are without electricity and gas supplies.
Strike on Sumy
Overnight, the Russians launched a massive attack on Sumy. So far, strikes have been recorded at four locations. A two-storey residential building was at the epicentre of one of the strikes. There is extensive damage.
"At least two people have been injured. They are receiving the necessary medical care. Surveys of the areas and the clean-up following the enemy attack are ongoing," the statement reads.
According to Artem Kobzar, acting mayor of Sumy and secretary of the Sumy City Council, strikes on infrastructure facilities in the Kovpakivskyi district have also been recorded.
Later, the regional police reported that six people were injured in the nighttime attack, including a 16-year-old girl.
