Ukraine's Security Service together with prosecutor's office detained a head of a Ministry of Defense agency in Kherson upon receiving a bribe at a city enterprise.

Censor.NET reports citing the press center of SBU.

"The official demanded from a Kherson entrepreneur a payoff for harmonization of documents confirming repair works on military hardware covered with state funds," the SBU said.

The MoD official was detained while accepting the bribe of 7,000 UAH ($269).

The extortioner has been served a notice of suspicion under part 3 article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation continues.
