A monument to Prince Volodymyr of Kyiv was unveiled on Borovitskaya Square in Moscow.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medina and the widow of writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Natalya.





The total height of the monument is 17.75 meters. The height of the pedestal is 2.75 meters, figure - 12 meters. The cross in the right hand of Prince Volodymyr rises three meters above his head.
