Residents have started repairing their houses with the aid of the State Emergency Service.
This was announced by head of the Donetsk regional civil-military administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports."The night was relatively calm in Avdiivka. Single shots were heard in suburbs and the industrial area and upon positions of our Armed Forces. The repair works continue in the city.
"Yesterday, Feb. 6, seven repair crews were operating. Over the day, they helped restoring 44 damages in private and public sectors. Today's morning, the crews are on duty again. We are mending not only those 198 damages inflicted during the recent week, but also all damages caused to Avdiivka since the hostilities started in the Donetsk region in 2014, a total of 600 of them.
"The filtering plant is operating in full mode. The water is being supplied to the city system. We continue delivering humanitarian aid to Avdiivka and other towns of the Donetsk region located at the contact line, from Svitlodarsk to Sartana. The logistics center in Kramatorsk continues receiving aid. Some of it, including that from the south of Ukraine, arrives directly in Avdiivka," Zhebrivskyi said.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said they evacuated eight more people from the city in the evening of Feb. 6. A total of 298 people, including 139 children, have been evacuated from Avdiivka since the most recent escalation, the SES said.
