President Petro Poroshenko and First Lady Maryna Poroshenko have visited wounded Ukrainian servicemen who are undergoing rehabilitation in the National Rehabilitation Center Vaivari in Jūrmala.
Censor.NET reports citing the presidential press service.Three anti-terrorist operation (ATO) veterans Oleksandr Shvetsov, Oleksii Zamirko and Viktor Kardash are being rehabilitated there at the moment.
Poroshenko asked the military to share impressions of their stay in the center. He stressed he had felt support of Latvia for Ukrainian soldiers during today's meetings.
"I feel that you are true heroes who are respected and supported here, which can be seen in the case with the president, the government, the Saeima and ordinary people," Petro Poroshenko said adding that the cooperation with Latvia to rehabilitate Ukrainian soldiers will continue.
