Militant who threatened Ukrainian soldiers with torture was apprehended by SBU. PHOTOS
Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine apprehended an armed "LPR" militant in the Luhansk region.
Censor.NET reports citing the press-service of the SBU."An armed man (with Kalashnikov machine gun) in camouflage uniform was apprehended by the SBU officers near the village of Sokolnykу in the so-called 'gray zone'," the report reads.
According to the detainee, he, as instructed by one of the "LPR" leaders, had to attack a Ukrainian checkpoint in the area. The SBU officers established that the militant, a native of Lysychansk, joined the Prizrak (Ghost) terrorist battalion early in 2014.
After Ukrainian militants have liberated the town, he "moved" to Izvaryne, where joined others terrorist units.
The detainee confirmed that he fought against Ukrainian soldiers dozen of times. Moreover, the SBU have proofs of the detainee's involvement into tortures of Ukrainian soldiers captured by terrorists.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation continues.
