Explosion hits Toyota vehicle in Kyiv. PHOTOS

The Toyota Land Cruiser exploded near Husi-Lebedi restaurant in Ukraine's capital.

Witnesses say the explosion occurred at around 10 a.m. at Turhenievska and Poltavska Streets. The air blast kicked glass out of the car windows and damaged cars parked nearby.

The driver is alive but shell shocked. He was in the car when the blast occurred, witnesses say.

They passed video of the explosion and description of the alleged criminal to the police. One of the witnesses said that the guy put the explosive, told everyone to run, and fled the scene.

Two ambulances, two firefighting vehicles, and police are working at the scene.
