Poroshenko Signs Law on Lustration. VIDEO

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Law "On the cleansing of power" adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on September 16.

It is reported by Censor.NET citing the press service of the Head of State.

"The law defines the legal and organizational framework for the inspection of civil servants and persons equated to them, officials of local self-government " in order to restore confidence to the authorities and create conditions for the new system of government bodies in accordance with European standards," the press service states.

"Закон определяет правовые и организационные основы проведения проверки государственных служащих и приравненных к ним лиц, должностных лиц органов местного самоуправления "с целью восстановления доверия к власти и создания условий для построения новой системы органов власти в соответствии с европейскими стандартами", - сказано в сообщении пресс-службы.
