Today, on 8 June, Russian occupiers shelled Kherson in the afternoon. The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Asman came under attack.

The chief rabbi said that he helped evacuate residents whose homes were flooded after the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
