A serviceman of the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade with the call sign Bird has been at war since the first days of the full-scale invasion. He was in the infantry, now he is a gunner on self-propelled guns. His relatives are from Donbas, which came to be "liberated" by the Russian occupiers.

According to Censor.NET, Bird told a story about his grandfather, who lived in the now-occupied Horlivka and helped him realize that he was a Ukrainian when he was a child.

"I remember my grandfather from Horlivka and understand that if I don't fight, there may be no Ukraine. So, grandpa, Ukraine is and will be. Everything will be Ukraine, Crimea, and Donbas. At least as long as I live, I will fight for it," Bird says.
