Memorial of US citizen Marko Paslawsky, killed last summer in Ilovaisk, unveiled in Kyiv. PHOTOS + VIDEO
A memorial of Marko Paslawsky, callsign 'Franko,' who had fought in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) with Donbas volunteer battalion, has been unveiled at Kyiv Askoldova Mohyla park.
This is reported by Censor.NET citing Hromadske TV.Paslawsky, who was a U.S. citizen of Ukrainian origin, had served until getting a rank of the U.S. Army Major, but was a regular soldier in the Donbas battalion. Paslawsky was killed in summer of 2014 when covering the Ukrainian army retreat from Ilovaisk, the Donetsk region.
The ceremony was attended by former battalion commander Semen Semenchenko, former Minister of Culture Yevneh Nyshchuk, Paslavskyi's mother Orysia and his brother, and combat comrades of the deceased.
