Ukrainian soldiers of the 61st Separate Mechanised Brigade successfully repelled an attempted assault by Russian marines from the 177th Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces near the village of Kurilovka, Kursk region.

Two Russian soldiers were captured during the fighting. According to the prisoners, the conditions in their units were catastrophic: due to a lack of food, they were forced to eat tree bark and even a dead cow, Censor.NET reports.
