Russian official outraged by meetings with families of Russian military: "Do you think I feel guilty?". VIDEO
During a meeting at the district administration, Andriy Paliy, the head of the Timashevsk district of Krasnodar Krai, Russia, expressed his frustration about having to meet with the relatives of Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, the relevant recording was posted on social media.
He stated that he was not obliged to do so. At the same time, the official explained that he was forced to meet with the families of the soldiers to "prevent internal unrest."
"And then, for some reason, I have to meet with these mothers, who say, 'You mobilized my husband, and now he's going to die... Do you really think I feel guilty? And I go and bow to their feet, talk all kinds of nonsense... I don’t have to go to anyone,'" he said.
Paliy also complained about the "smell of coffins," emphasizing that delivering medals and orders was not his responsibility, but that of the military commissariats.
"Do you think it's easy for me to walk around, look at him, and smell that smell from the coffin when the person is there?" - he added.
After this recording surfaced online, Paliy responded on his Telegram channel, not refuting the statements made. He described it as "working for the enemy" and "an attempt to divide us from within."
