Slovak school student refuses to shake hands with President Pellegrini: He is lying and manipulating. VIDEO
Slovak schoolboy Simon Omanik, who won bronze at the Central European Mathematics Olympiad, refused to shake hands with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini.
This was reported by Dennik N, Censor.NET reports.
Simon, 19, who had a ribbon in the colours of the Ukrainian flag pinned to his chest, reacted to the president's outstretched hand with a negative gesture.
According to the student, Pellegrini won the presidential election by lying and exploiting fear and the basest human emotions.
"Alongside the usual populist promises of cheap food and gas that populists repeat before every election, he also accused his opponent of planning to send us to war in Ukraine. He would never have sent us there, and even if he had, there would have been no rational justification for it. This was a lie and a manipulation of the basest human emotions of fear and, perhaps, in some parts of Slovak society, antipathy toward Ukraine," he explained.
