Intelligence officer Roman Chervinskyi told about a meeting in 2019 with Andrii Yermak, for which he was later asked to pay $10,000.
Chervinsky said this in an interview, Censor.NET reports.
"I met him twice, Yermak, at the suggestion of my friend. He said that Yermak is voicing everywhere that they will destroy corruption in the SSU, in the whole country, they will fight it. Yermak will begin to determine the personnel policy in the SSU, he is looking for people who do not have a corrupt biography. My candidacy was suitable for a certain level of leadership. We were engaged in the war and had successful operations.
I met with him twice. He said we wanted to change the SSU, the country, to destroy corruption. Ten days after that, my friend and Yermak's brother came back to me and said, "Roma, I'm sorry, but Andrii is asking for $10,000 for two meetings". I didn't believe it and asked him to record the conversation. But I realised that he didn't want to do it for personal reasons. I didn't matter to him, and this is a man who will be shaping the state's policy tomorrow. He kept telling him that he was Zelenskyy's brother and friend, that their families and parents were friends, and that the two of them would shape the state's policy.
After that, I was removed from my post. I asked my friend, "Go to Andrii and find out what happened. Maybe he can influence it somehow." He came back from the meeting and said, "Roman, it was him who dismissed you and took part in it." When I asked for the reason, he said that "he will silence all patriots, those who fought against Russia." At that time, Yermak held no official position, it was June 2019. He told my friend, "If things don’t work out for me, I have a house near St. Petersburg, and I’ll move there." I didn’t believe it either.
To check whether Yermak was taking money for meetings, I found recordings online made by Dmytro Shtanko. He had been introduced to Denys Yermak by the very person I was talking about. Around 10-15 meetings were recorded, during which Yermak’s brother said: "We will appoint everyone." He charged $10,000 per meeting. Government positions were also handed out for money. That’s how I confirmed for myself that Andrii Yermak, Denys, and Zelenskyy came to build their own corrupt elite in our country.
The person who made these recordings has been killed. He was deliberately kept on the frontline in Bakhmut for a month until he was killed in September 2022," Chervinskyi said.
