Zelenskyy held Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff meeting: special attention to the effectiveness of our air defence system. VIDEO
On Friday, 7 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. Among other things, there was a detailed analysis of today's Russian strike on Ukraine and the use of our air defence.
The head of state said this in an evening video address, Censor.NET reports.
"Usually, after massive attacks, we do such a review of combat operations - we identify weaknesses and lessons learned that deserve to be shared. Today we had all the necessary reports on this. Special attention was paid to the effectiveness of our air defence," the President said.
According to Zelenskyy, during the 7 March attack, the Russians used more than 260 air assets in this strike: cruise and ballistic missiles, attack drones.
"Today, this Russian attack on our energy system, on our civilian facilities was so routine for Russia, so mean and cynical, as if there were no attempts by Ukraine and the world to end this war at all," the President said.
He stressed that Ukraine is ready for peace as soon as possible: we have proposed concrete steps. According to Zelenskyy, every day, new Russian strikes and reality itself prove that it is Russia that needs to be forced to peace - to stop the war, to real diplomacy, to guarantee security and to a reliable, lasting peace.
