Russian Federation is increasingly using "Molniya" UAVs in rear: moment of drone attack in Kharkiv region. VIDEO

Russian "Molniya" drones are increasingly flying into the rear. A "Hyacinth-B" vehicle was attacked in the Kharkiv region.

This is stated in the story of "Ukrainian witness", Censor.NET reports.

The journalists' material shows the moment of the explosion and the evacuation.

Together with the military, the group was on their way to film the firing position of the trailed "Hyacinth-B" gun of the 15th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

On the road, when they were 20 km from the line of contact, their Nissan Navara pickup truck was hit by an enemy "Molniya" UAV, an aircraft-type strike drone, which is targeted to by the operator as an FPV. It has a range of over 30 km and a warhead of up to 5 kg. For comparison, the TM-72 anti-tank mine has an explosive charge weight of 2.5 kg, and the TM-62 anti-tracked mine has a weight of 7.5 kg. The occupiers are increasingly using "Molniya" in our rear, which seriously affects the logistics of the army. Driving on roads that were previously considered relatively safe is now dangerous for both the military and civilians, the article says.

Even before the explosion, Major Andrii "Mazhor" Moiseienko, the 2nd Artillery Division's first deputy commander and chief of staff, said that a month ago they had been transferred to Kharkiv region from the Pokrovsk sector.

"After Pokrovsk, it's like a kindergarten," says "Mazhor". "After the dynamics of Pokrovsk, after the amount of FPVs, after the amount of enemy personnel we burned, it's like a cake walk. That is, with our level of brigade, with our level of personnel training, it is easy to use all firearms, so to speak."

The "Molniya" struck under the vehicle, so the explosion felt like a mine explosion. The soldiers and the journalist immediately left the pickup and took cover in a nearby building to call for an evacuation and examine their injuries. Ihor Lavrov, the brigade's press officer, was more seriously injured. Soon enough, a car came to pick up the group and took the wounded and the journalist to the nearest village, where it was supposed to be safer to wait for medical evacuation. "Mazhor" stayed close to the damaged pickup truck to wait for it to be evacuated.

After the evacuation, the driver noted that the pit caused by the explosion was quite large, whereas conventional FPVs' pits are smaller.

During the conversation with the military, they heard the sound of an enemy drone. There was a basement nearby where the military could hide and wait it out. So even over the village, which was considered dangerous enough to wait for medical evacuation, enemy drones are flying.

The damaged pick-up truck is already being repaired by the military at their own repair centre. The vehicle's rear wheel disc is split, the wheel itself is torn, the debris went through the bottom (that's why the soldiers' legs are mostly injured), the gearbox, exhaust pipe, petrol tank and transfer case are damaged. It needs serious bodywork and glass replacement.
