Yesterday, at about 9 p.m., in the vicinity of Radovychi and Tahochyn villages (the Turiisk district), a Z-37 Shmel aircraft, piloted by a 44-year-old resident of the Rivne region, crashed during a test flight. The pilot died on the spot.

The Turiisk district police station was reported about a plane crash in the field near Radovychi and Tahochyn villages.

"The police have carried out a detailed examination of the scene and found out that a 44-year-old resident of the Rivne region performed a test flight in a Z-37 plane. As a result of the crash, the pilot died on the spot, and the plane was destroyed by fire. As established, the pilot had a permission to operate the aircraft. The police are thoroughly investigating the circumstances behind the crash," head of the National Police investigation department in the Volyn region Yurii Uhlanov said.
