A video has been shared on social media showing three servicemen from the Russian occupation forces who were taken prisoner during fighting in the Kharkiv region. Initial questioning has revealed that the detained combatants are foreign nationals who signed contracts with the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation to take part in the war against Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, the footage shows men from Peru, Zimbabwe and Burundi. The mercenaries, with their hands bound with duct tape, are eagerly munching on pastries.
"Peru, Zimbabwe, Burundi: the video shows Russian army soldiers who were taken prisoner in the Kharkiv region," the commentary states.
